Shannon's Hope Camp

Shannon's Hope

Next camp: October 2-3, 2010

Shannon's Hope is made possible by Hospice of Charleston Foundation, in collaboration with Hospice of Charleston - a Gentiva Company. Begun in 1989, Shannon's Hope is a therapeutic weekend camp for children ages 6 - 15 who have experienced the death of someone they love. Licensed counselors and hospice-trained volunteers provide enjoyable organized activities that help children "create stepping stones from their stumbling blocks."

The next Shannon's Hope Camp will be held October 2-3, 2010 at Camp St. Christopher on Seabrook Island, SC.

For more information about the camp and/or volunteer opportunities, please contact Jessica Berry at (843) 216-7323.

To refer or register a child, please download the application and mail it to 676 Wando Park Boulevard Mount Pleasant, SC 29464.

Hospice of Charleston Foundation is grateful for the support of the West Ashley Optimist Club for their support of the Shannon's Hope camp since its early days.
